1. Domain services are separate from hosting
Domain registration is billed separately from hosting unless an order explicitly states otherwise. A hosting plan can be used with a newly registered domain or a domain you already own.
2. Availability is not guaranteed until registration completes
A search result may indicate that a domain appears available, but availability can change before the registry completes the transaction. A domain is considered registered only after successful confirmation from the relevant registrar or registry.
3. Registrant information
You are responsible for providing accurate registrant and contact information and for keeping it current. Domain registries and registrars may require verification or additional information.
4. Renewals and expiration
Domain names have registration periods and expiration dates. Customers are responsible for monitoring renewal notices and keeping billing information current. Failure to renew can result in service interruption, additional recovery fees or permanent loss of the domain.
5. Transfers
Domain transfers depend on registrar and registry rules, domain status, authorization requirements and applicable transfer locks. A transfer may require an authorization or EPP code and confirmation by the registrant.
6. Third-party rules and fees
Domain registrations are subject to the policies and fees of the relevant registry, registrar and domain extension. Some domain transactions may be non-refundable once submitted or completed.
7. DNS and hosting connection
A registered domain does not automatically mean a website is live. DNS records must point to the appropriate hosting environment, and changes can require time to propagate across the internet.
8. Customer responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that your requested domain name and use of that domain do not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
